About MegaPortal
MegaPortal started in 2009 as a single HTML page with a guestbook. It now has three pages, a shoutbox, and more JavaScript than anyone fully understands.
Our history
- Launched. Twelve visitors, nine of them were us.
- Added jQuery. Everything is better now.
- Added a carousel. Users asked us to remove it. We did not.
- Rewrote everything in jQuery again, but with more plugins.
- Someone suggested React. That person no longer works here.
- Added dark mode.
- Still here.
